5 Delectable Dishes We Dove into Abroad!

1. Steak in Italy

If you are feeling like tapping into your natural instincts of enjoying a perfectly cooked piece of red meat, stop by Trattoria Zaza or Trattoria Garga for a delicious and satisfying steak. Trattoria Zaza’s Grilled Tagliata is cooked to perfection and served with a flavorful side of rosemary potatoes (photo on the left) that add a warm and savory touch to the dish, making every bite mouthwatering.

Trattoria Garga’s Tagliato di Manzo is equally as delicious, served with a fresh side of arugula and shaved Parmesan cheese (photo on the right), creating a balanced combination of rich, salty, and slightly peppery flavors that perfectly complement the tender steak. Both dishes are simple yet incredibly satisfying options for anyone craving a classic and high quality meal.

When in Prague, you must seek tradition! And there is no better place for that than Snemovna v Jakubsy , a restaurant in the heart of the city known for authentic Czech dishes.

One memorable meal featured tender rabbit served over boiled red cabbage and topped with crispy onions for added texture and flavor. Alongside the main dish were traditional potato dumplings, a popular Czech side that perfectly complements rich sauces. The meal was finished with a smooth and creamy rabbit gravy that brought everything together.

3. Escargot in Paris

As humans, we were once hunters and gatherers, constantly following our instincts in search of food, and that adventurous spirit still lives inside of us today. Earlier we talked about embracing the excitement of trying something unexpected, even if it feels unfamiliar at first. What about the urge to follow a snail trail all the way to dinner? That is exactly what we did in Paris when we decided to try escargot at Bistrot Richelieu .

The escargot was warm, juicy, and surprisingly flavorful, completely changing our expectations. In Paris, escargot is traditionally prepared with a compound butter made from garlic, parsley, shallots, and white wine, creating a rich and savory flavor. Trying this dish reminded us that stepping outside of your comfort zone often leads to some of the most memorable travel experiences.

4. A Taste of Italy in Paris

We hate to admit it, but after enjoying the rich escargot earlier, we started craving something a little more familiar that reminded us of home. Sometimes when traveling and constantly trying new foods, it feels comforting to enjoy something classic that you already know you love. We searched for the first Italian restaurant nearby and were pleasantly surprised by Ristorante Chez Pippo , which welcomed us with a warm atmosphere and a menu full of favourites.

We ordered a variety of pizzas along with one pasta dish so we could try a little bit of everything. The pappardelle Bolognese was rich and hearty with a slow cooked meat sauce, while the Legendary Pizza lived up to its name with its perfect crust and flavorful toppings. The two pesto pizzas added a fresh and aromatic flavor that balanced the meal perfectly and reminded us why Italian food is always a good idea.

5. Got Room For Dessert in Italy?

Are you ever scared you won’t have enough room left for dessert? Us girls never seem to have that problem, thankfully, because there is always space for something sweet when it looks as irresistible as a warm affogato. One of the best desserts we enjoyed was at David’s la Gelateria , which felt like the perfect stop when we wanted something comforting but still indulgent.

The affogato is simple yet unforgettable, made with smooth vanilla ice cream scooped into an elegant cup and topped with a rich shot of freshly brewed espresso poured slowly over the top. The combination of hot espresso and cold creamy gelato creates a perfect balance of flavors and textures that feels both refreshing and satisfying. Whether you need a small pick me up or a sweet way to end the night, David’s is the perfect place to stop.
