Gastronomia Panico – A Florence Hidden Gem

Located closely outside the north city center of Florence lays a hidden gem, Gastronomia Panico. Serving fresh pasta and local favorites daily, this establishment has earned a reputation for being one of the best restaurants in its area. Diners rave about the experience and food, as Panico boasts a 4.9 star rating on Google with 1,085 reviews.

The father and son tandem duo run the establishment, both cooking and serving together. The father sits down with each guest, explaining the handwritten menu and giving recommendations to diners. In the multiple times I have come to this restaurant, I have tried different dishes, each being spectacular. Pasta dishes vastly, from lighter to heavier sauces, and meat, seafood, and vegetarian options.

Gastronomia Panico is not just a meal, but an entire experience. From the moment you step in and are led to a “secret” back room, you are treated with kindness and enthusiasm. It is obvious that love and care are put into each dish, and diners walk away satisfied every time.

This establishment can be catered to locals, tourists, and locals alike. Its price point of 12 euro per dish makes it very competitive and a go-to to those looking for an economical meal. Panico can be very good at attracting tourists and study abroad students because of the owner’s strength of speaking English and explaining the menu in depth. His charisma is also unmatched, leaving all diners with a smile.

Although the restaurant is well known, with 1085 google reviews and a 4.9 star rating, it can improve with an increased social media presence. Creating a cohesive editorial plan utilizing tools such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, Panico can create a strong brand image, attracting more customers. They can leverage their unique strength of creating fresh local pastas and an incredible experience by showcasing this on social media. Overall, Gastronomia Panico is truly a hidden gem in the city, but can improve its business by utilizing social media.
